WEDNESDAY 29TH

TODAY IS WEDNESDAY, 29TH OF APRIL. DAY 30 OF OUR QUARANTINE.

(Remember, in your notebook you will NOT HAVE A DAY 28 OF OUR QUARANTINE because we had the social science exam and the Human Rights reading.)

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!! What Miguel and I found on Sunday are TADPOLES.
Nerea was the first to answer so she gets 3 green points in the race. But I will give everybody that has participated until now one point also.

There are NO CORRECTIONS from me  for today as you had an example of my letter to Aída in the powerpoint from Friday and every science diagram is slightly different. I might (50%) ask you for the diagram next week..maybe.So make sure you have it done.

********************************************************************

1. ENGLISH. READING AND / OR WRITING. Have you ever thought about the expression "¡NO HAY DERECHO!....Where does it come from? What rights do you think you deserve?(¿Qué derechos creéis que os merecéis?

1.1       I want you to talk to your adult caretaker (el adulto que os esté cuidando ahora) about this. I leave some questions so you can maintain a dialogue in Spanish .(Quiero que paréis, preguntéis a mamá o papá o a lo abuelos ...con quien estéis adulto y dialoguéis sobre ello. Es parte de vuestra tarea. Os ayudo un poco a conversar con estas preguntas..)

Why do your parents tell you to do things? Are they more important than you or are they trying to educate you? Is everybody the same? Why do bosses (jefes) tell employees(empleados) what to do? Are they more important than employees ? Are bosses always right? Should everybody have the same rights? (¿Debería todo el mundo tener los mismos derechos?).....well, of course!!!

1.2         Make a list of YOUR OPINION ON WHAT SHOULD  BE EVERYBODY'S RIGHT.(Tu opinión sobre lo que debería ser un derecho universal). Minimum 5 rights.
Example:

"I think everybody has a right to eat.
I think everybody has a right to   go to the doctor when they are sick."
........

2. ENGLISH/VALUES : MAYBE YOU DIDN'T SEE A MESSAGE SAYING YOU HAD A READING IN GOOGLE CLASSROOMS ABOUT "HUMAN RIGHTS". If you didn't  read my text on INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS. CLICK ON THE HANDS IN THE PICTURE.

1.4 Answer my questions in Google Classroom. (EVALUABLE). IF YOU DID IT YESTERDAY, YOU ARE FREE.

3. NATURAL SCIENCE:  Read pages 28 and 29. They talk about what we can do with electicity and it focuses on ELECTROLYSIS. So you must:

3.1Read the two pages.

EXPLANATION OF ELECTROLYSIS

Electrolysis is not easy.
Let me try to define it easily:
Electrolysis is a process in which you need to use electricity  and a liquid. Electricity in electrolisys "splits"(parte, divide de alguna manera) the molecules in the liquid  and transforms the molecule (it breaks the molecule).

Two examples of electrolysis:

a) When you buy a gold ring and three months later it doesn't look like gold. (Cuando te compras un anillo que crees que es de oro y a los tres meses ya no tiene pinta de oro) It has been "gold plated". What the jewellers (joyeros) do is they take your ring, put it into a liquid solution that has gold and they pass electricity through it. The gold "sticks to the ring" and "paints" it gold. The ring is NOT MADE OF  GOLD but it has a  very thin gold coating (una capa finita  de oro)

b) If you watch Matt Damon's movie "The Martian", in this movie, Mat Damon needs oxygen, so he takes a bowl of water and applies electrolysis. The H2O divides and OXYGEN goes one way and HY

DROGEN goes in a different direction. (both as gases). This is the way Matt Damon obtains OXYGEN to breathe on the planet Mars.

3.2Do activities 1 and 2

3.3Do the listening below and write the answers in your notebook.

4.. PHYSICAL EDUCATION. You are going to play "El juego de la Oca". Looks like fun!!!!!
