****************************************************************************

Right. We start  a new month:

and with May, a new calendar. But this one is a different TYPE OF CALENDAR. You have a different task everyday.  Read them carefully and answer them in your notebook. WE WILL USE THE ANSWERS ON FRIDAYS on JITSI.

1. ENGLISH. VOCABULARY.

Go to page 33 in your classbook and read it. Then listen to my instructions for activities 1 and 2.

Activity 3 is WRITING QUESTIONS. These questions are in the LISTENING.

Activity 4 is WRITING YOUR OWN QUESTIONS and then sending them (like the wordsearch. Como hicisteis con la sopa de letras ) to a FRIEND.

Activities 1, 2 and 3 are for tomorrow. ACTIVITY 4 IS FOR FRIDAY.

2. ENGLISH. VOCABULARY.

Do this worksheet about the vocabulary you have just been doing.

3. ENGLISH/ SCIENCE REVIEW.  This is a very easy worksheet to review the different landscapes you can find on our planet.

NATURAL   SCIENCE. Today you will finish reading the unit. On Thursday we will do another text/exam on this unit 5 (El jueves tendremos control de esta unidad). We will use GOOGLE CLASSROOMS AGAIN.

4.NATURAL SCIENCE. Today you  are going to read pages 30 and 31.

They talk about electromagnets. I remind you.

An electromagnet, is an artificial magnet that needs electricity to work. A magnet works by attracting opposite poles (-) and (+).

Say we make an electromagnet at home. (Voluntary)

When you start an electric circuit, electrons start moving in one direction ->.
If you take an iron nail (un clavo de hierro) and you coil the cable around the nail (y enrollas el cable del circuito alrededor del clavo) you generate an electric field (un campo eléctrico) and one side of the nail will be positive  (N, for north) and the other negative (S, for south).....YOU HAVE MAGNETISED YOUR IRON NAIL( habéis magnetizado vuestro clavo de hierro). YOU HAVE MADE AN ELECTROMAGNET.

I HAVE MADE ELECTROMAGNETS IN CLASS. THEY ARE VERY EASY. THIS TASK IS VOLUNTARY BECAUSE THE COPPER IS DIFFICULT TO FIND THESE DAYS BUT SEND ME PHOTOS IF YOU DO IT.
